FAQs - During the shoot

Q. What happens during the shoot?

A.  Here is what our time together will look like.:

On location:  We are going to walk to a couple of different spots and do a mix of posed and candid photos. At one point, I am going to pull each child to the side and get individual photos of just them. These usually go best if they are just one on one with me, so that will be your chance to take a break and just relax. We’ll also take a minute to do some of each parent and the kids, then wrap up with one or two more family poses.
And if we have time, I always love to get a couple with just mum and dad!

Now, I know that it can feel a little bit awkward having a camera in your face and not knowing what to do, but don’t worry. At each point, I’m going to tell you exactly what to do, where to stand and even what to do with your hands. And then there will be times where I just want you to look at each other and ignore me altogether. I’ll be sure to let you know when it’s time for that!

In the studio:  Pretty much the same but without the walking around, to different spots and instead we may have all kinds of  studio equipment, lights and backdrops, but don't worry, I will take care of all the technical stuff.

Q. How long does it take?

A. Times will be estimated at the time of booking, I will give you a time frame with start and finish times depending on what your requirements are  and how long what you have asked for usually takes, I usually allow a little extra time in there, just in case. However, I will work very hard to stick to the time schedule. For shoots involving children, I work very fast to ensure I get everything before they get fed up.
